How is it going? Has it survived the outdoors and the transport?? I was thinking the same. I have an old chair in the garage with broken back - rip that off, and the wheels, and see if it will have enough up-down travel for when I tilt my binoculars. If that works, rip off the cloth seating and replace with some vinyl for dew proofing?
