A quick review

The conference was held in the small town, Hove about 8km from Antwerpen in Belgium. It was a very impressive conference with many talented astrophotographers present. Some conference photos can be see at: http://www.vereniging-astrofotografie.nl/werkgroep_bijeenkomsten_20061111_1. html

Plenty of manufacturers and resellers present. I had a very close look at the ASA series http://www.astrosysteme.at/ikreator/asa/cms_pub/content_6-en.html
These are a very impressive instrument with RC like performance. Definitely contemplating getting one of these.

A fantastic presentation was done by Karel Teuwen - http://www.karelteuwen.be/ arguably one of the best in Europe at the moment explained his experience with the 400mm hypergraph with a slide show of his latest images.

From the UK, Damian Peach's (http://www.damianpeach.com/) presentation was interesting. He primarily images in Barbados as the seeing there is extremely steady. Didn't provide much of an insight into his image processing techniques, however alluded to the potential of setting up two or more C14's to improve angular resolution using advanced image processing of the planets.

Overall, a great Saturday event with plenty of Belgium beers to be had.
