I went to Bintel to get an LPR filter to cut up and found out they had a solar filter to suit the TAL 200K. Even though the forcast said cloudy morning for Thurs I bought it any way. When I got up Thurs morning very surprised to see it was really clear. So set up even though I had not planned anything. Had to 'trim' some trees to get a chance at an earlier shot. Glad now I took the punt. Once the camera was rolling had a cold beer at 9AM (hot from trimming trees)
Sometimes you win with the elements. Managed to get about 250 images 30s and 10s apart for the last half of the transit. I even remembered to use mirror lock.
If anybody wants any or all to play with can put them on a CD or DVD and post them. Just PM me.
