Great result from your perseverance
The Primary and focuser tilt are generally the culprits for odd Star shapes, whereas the Secondary leans towards things like vignetting.
I’ve had my fair share of issues with my Newts ( even at f6 to f5 ) as a beginner but since building my own carbon newts a few years ago , it’s been generally trouble free , apart from a minor tilt issue 2 months ago.
