I would like to caution beginners looking to buy an equatorial mount, when I started back in 2013 many forums made out that polar alignment was not a difficult thing. However I found out the hard way that visual alignment with a polar scope is very difficult, and that without good alignment you cannot use your GOTO. I would recommend that you buy a mount with iPolar/polemaster or equivalent, which is a camera that allows you to plate solve for the South Celestial Pole, (SCP).
