Rmuhlack & Chris
I am still having issues and do appreciate input but:
- getting a good coma corrector, e.g. the aplantatic SW F4 coma corrector.
I am using the Sharpstar F4 CC - same as the Skywatcher
- getting a cat's eye collimator.
Not going to dispute this might give better collimation but it's not a problem with the quality of the collimation - but rather retaining it.
- moving from a metal GSO F5 to a carbon fibre skywatcher F4.
I have a carbon fibre tube
- Stuck a moonlite focuser on my mount.
Focuser is a CYCK - certainly not a moonlite, but its not the source of the problem either.
I am still pretty sure this is an issue with movement of the primary mirror. Contrary to my last post, eliminating movement of the mirror in the cell did not seem to resolve the problem. I now think the entire cell is moving and am about to do some work on a fix based on an old post from here - will report on progress.
Cheers
Bill
