Thanks very much Adam and Russell. I'm still in a learning process. After imaging with Skywatcher Quattro 10 for many years, I had been thinking of how to improve my astrophotography relying on a portable system. I never thought about 12 inch scopes until I tried to rebuild a Quattro 12 shedding weight and improving wind resistance. When that succeeded, I rebuilt a 300F5 that had been sitting there for over 10 years. Well I'm starting on yet a bigger one. With a few scopes and cameras at hand I thought it might be best to test each to see how well combinations of focal lengths, image time, and pixel scales etc. would play out.
