Just came in from nabbing V572 Nova Velorum with my trusty 10x50mm binoculars. I estimate it to be around magnitude 6.0.
Then swung over to Lupus to check out V462 Nova Lupi which has faded slightly. Ain't we lucky Aussies to be able to observe two novae in prime time simultaneously
