Thanks Bob, good tips there but we are a little exposed in our back garden.

Like most things, it can sound quite daunting when it is all new and unfamiliar.

Once you have set up a few times and established a good set up procedure and workflow, it becomes quite straightforward.

The physical set up, getting mount and ‘scope outside, only takes 10-15 mins then 30 mins for all the software related stuff.

Most of this can be done at dusk so it doesn’t really eat into decent imaging time, unless of course, when like the ISS, the passes take place close to sunset and there isn’t time to execute all the alignment procedures.

Getting up before dawn has never been one of my strong points!

I guess at the end of the day, this is a wonderful hobby, and we wouldn’t participate if it didn’t thrill us.

Cheers

Dennis.

I do have this thought, may not appropriate, but, meh, I would be thinking of a real good weather proof bag or cover for the rig, setting up Pole-Align the night before, weather permitting,, Though other things of consideration, do you have a safe lockable Yard, Is a 'wify' around to keep eye on if you working, if working hopeully a Pass-over happen on week end, all might be considered for one shot at a really calculated image

Edit: Some ISStation passes are before Dawn, gives the night plenty preparation time ,,
All the best...
