My Meade 14mm UWA s4000 EP arrived today! YAY!
I bought it off ebay last week for $250 and its in MINT condition!
I can't wait to try it out, if on the CLOUDS would dissapear!
I know this EP can go in both 2" and 1 1/4 focusers however it looks as though the 1 1/4 section on the bottom is made to be removed. It has a small grub screw in the 2" section which appears to hold the 1 1/4 section in place. If I remove this screw the bottom section can then be unscrewed leaving just the 2" section.
My questions are:
Is this the way this EP is made to be used?
and
As the bottom section contains some lens elements does removing this section alter the FOV or lens characteristics?
Any help or info about this EP would be appreciated!
