Great effort for a first attempt!!
I have been off grid for the past 5 days. Smartphones take numerous 15 to 30 sec exposures and stack and align them to make the longer exposures. The Google Pixel phones take 16x15s(?) to make a 4 min exposure. This is done in the background, the user isn't even aware and the EXIF data lists it as if it a single 15s exposure.
