Celestron C9.25 and modified CPC mount

Hello All,

I am leaving the astronomy hobby (getting too old for sitting outside in the cold) and disposing of all my equipment.

First up I have my C9.25 and modified CPC mount.

The OTA is in excellent optical, mechanical and cosmetic condition. It has been very little used outdoors and always stored in a controlled environment. Views through it have been exceptional in my opinion. It is fitted with the much sought after Explore Scientific erect image finder scope with a red dot finder integrated into the mount for quick target acquisition. Also comes with a Meade optical reducer. I have many other accessories and eyepieces etc. that will be disposed of in coming months.

The mount was originally for a CPC 800. After a lot of investigation and experimentation I found that the right side fork has a negligible effect on the mount rigidity and can be removed. The GPS has been relocated to a neatly made housing/carry handle. On the left side the fork has been fitted with a dovetail clamp that can accommodate Losmandy, CGE etc. This work has been well engineered and constructed and handles the 9.25 OTA with no problems.

Priced to sell quickly at $1500 . Local pickup from Burnie Tas. only, however I will consider delivering it to other locations in Tasmania.

PM, SMS/ 'phone (0428253937) only please do not post replies on the forum.
