I just noticed there's a lot of Soligor lenses available on eBay cheap, I may look into an F mount 28mm f2.8.
I'm sure I've seen these lenses on some of my old cameras but I don't remember, I do know the name "Soligor" though, I'll have to look through my collection.
I have so many old cameras I've lost track of them all.
No 500mm mirror lenses though. I did back in 1990 borrow a genuine Nikon 500mm f8 mirror lens from a photographer friend to shoot at the first Aussie 500cc Gran prix at Eastern creek. I was limping around on crutches with a broken ankle, which was somewhat convenient because they let me ride my heavy bike into the grounds to park (crutches collapsed and strapped to side of bike, missus on the back) but it was a real pain getting around on crutches, I got some nice shots during practice day but decided there was n o way I was stumbling around there on crutches on race day (camped across the paddock but packed up and went home (club event)).
I used one of my crutches as a mono pod and it was great for panning with the 500mm lens and the genuine Nikkor lens was pin sharp.
