I bought this as a spare mount but have found I am not using it much…..
Rowan Astronomy AZ75 Alt Az Mount with Renishaw Encoders and Nexus DSC
The mount comes with the following accessories:
- AZ75 Alt-Az mount with Renishaw 128,000 step encoders
- Nexus DSC
- NexusDSC Shelf
- 2 saddles with Vixen V profile
- Coiled Encoder Cable (for Nexus)
- AZ75 Pan-Tilt Handle (with mounting accessories)
- AZ75 Counterweight Shaft plus flange (provides option of using counterweight shaft with both saddle plates installed or only one)
The mount base has M12 tapped hole to attach to a tripod (for example EQ6 tripod, T-Pod etc).
In addition, also included is a 3/8” changeover mount base which allows fitment to typical 3/8” tripod
In terms of physical characteristics:
- Weight of fully assembled mount is around 5kg
- Load capacity = 15kg on each side
All safely packed in a SafeCase
The mount was delivered in April 2024. It is in immaculate as-new condition.
Inspection/pickup welcome in Canberra but, as I’m heading soon for a trip to Queensland, delivery can be arrranged along the way ….
Current replacement cost is about $4300.
