I'm aware of CA and all that and know the limitations of a short focus achro. I'm after a widefield sweeper. I've got my 130 F/5 newt for grab n go planetary, and the 8" dob also goes out without fuss. But, want to see what a fast largish refractor does for the Milky way, large extended nebulae etc. I won't be using this for high power or planets.
Glad to hear that feedback about Astrodog. I'll shoot them an enquiry about this scope.
