6th May Large Sunspot

6th May.
A large sunspot group is currently crossing the Sun's surface.
It is AR4079. This region measures 160,000 km across.
The image shown is a single exposure taken with a Canon 550d camera attached to a 81 mm WO refractor and Herschel wedge at 540 nm wavelength.
