Very interesting Peter. I have been looking at getting a Star'Ex to try my hand at astronomical spectroscopy, knowing that I can also use the same kit as a SHG.
Out of interest, what telescope did you use the SHG on, and was anything used to reduce intensity upstream of the SHG (eg a white light herschel prism)?
