I will remove it by placing everything in the plastic box, and using magnetized tweezers and screwdrivers .. So if the spring decides to run away, it will be tougher a task and it won't go far

BTW, it seems this spring (also called "booster spring") helps to keep short exposures more consistent and accurate.. so not really needed for AP.
