I know nothing about SIRL. However, the most common problem of washed out colour in LRGB combination is that the luminance image is too bright. In Pixinsight it is important to keep brightest values at or below .8 (on scale of 0 to 1). Also, the colour image should not be bright.

Edit: By "bright" I mean in stretching. Don't over stretch...keep stretched values below what you want to see in the brightness of your final image. You can brighten after the LRGB combination. Adam Block has numerous videos exoplaining exactly why this is important. I don't know what other programs may do in this regard..pehaps they decrease the stretch to make the combination work, but that is only a guess.
