Not entirely sure I listed that all correctly but basically what I could get in a 30s video capture (for Juputer) of 40s video capture (Mars) with an 80-90% histogram through the brightest filter. Wanted around 100 frames per second so this determined the gain and exposure length. Seemed to work okay with my setup. I did a Jupiter last year with an 8” and it was okay, but pulling out details seem to make the image quite chunky (more likely my bad processing though). The 10” I don’t have to push so hard when sharpening. The key seems to be sky conditions though. I went by the Meteo Blue weather app which has an Astronomical Seeing conditions pane and it reliably listed Monday as a 4/5 :-) Sorry if that’s all blatantly obvious - mostly new to me!!!
