My much older effort probably needs a re-visit, but I'm happy to let it go through to the keeper for now. Let's hope the 2025 weather is more welcoming to M42 and the capturing of many other gems !

Yeh quite pleased with how Startools weaved its magic and create a synthetic LRGB image out of Narrowband data sets. Not perfect but good enough for the average Joe. I could have worked on the stars ( colour and halos ) a bit but decided to leave it.
The weather during 2024 on the East Coast NSW was average to say the least but late winter / early spring provided some good stable nights for imaging. Agree let’s hope 2025 is more kind to us all.
