To clarify why I'm so confused. I've seen
this CN post before and it seems to confirm that adding a spacer in between the two parts of the GSO corrector will reduce the in-travel requirement which means I wouldn't need to upgrade all of my eyepieces to some that find focus further out.
I'm still not 100% sure I understand how this works because then this CN reply from Don much later on seems to disagree with it if I understand correctly:
