I found Tim Davis' piece on gravity waves quite engaging.

I also chuckled seeing the name Prof. David Blair as he was a demonstrator/Tech in the Physics Department at my old Alma Mater (UWA)
back in the 1970's. He's clearly moved up from there!

Sadly, so many of our best and brightest move off-shore due to lack of opportunity and science funding in the land of Oz.
