There's already quite a mature product, Astroberry which runs on the Raspberry Pi. It supports INDI, Stars, etc. It's somewhat more flexible than the ASIAir as it's somewhat brand agnostic - as long as there's an INDI driver for the product, it should work under Astroberry.
