After what seems eternity, the imaging setup was out again collecting some light around the new Moon in July, August and September. This was more of an exercise to test how new narrowband processes in PixInsight work with the bunch of new plugins that came out in the last year including the Orton effect that saw some popularity lately. Used the opportunity to also test how to replace narrowband with RGB stars.



Askar 65PHQ + ASI533MM Pro + 3nm SHO and RGB filters. Dither and drizzle for all filters with every frame.


RGB = 60 sec x 30 frames for each filter.
H = 300 sec x 100 frames.
S and O = 300 sec x 50 frames for each filter.


Post-processing to taste.
