I'm back - after 6 years

After a break of about 6 years I've got my observatory up and running again. It's been a bit of work to reconnect the power and upgrade everything but it's very satisfying.

I see many familiar names still around and plenty of amazing images.

So much has changed in that time. I'm now on N.I.N.A. on Windows 11 - this has solved some *automation struggles I had with my home grown solution.

A few things no longer work or had to be junked - original QHY5 guide cam, a Phillip Toucam!!, a GPS unit with a dodgy prolific chip in it, and a whole bunch of Software upgrades.
  • I did manage to get my original Mount Hub Pro working via the ASCOM Device Hub, but I'm going to write my own ASCOM drivers for it.
  • SBIG STL 11k is still going strong - should I upgrade it? How much better would a new camera be?
  • Hooked up my RG-11 rain sensor to N.I.N.A. using this very cool utility: https://www.cloudynights.com/topic/7...or-nina-64bit/
  • Amazingly the garage door opener I use to open/close the roof still works perfectly
  • PME is working great - I might need to open her up and check the belts and lubrication. I wonder if I should get the MKS 6000 upgrade kit to bring her out of the dark ages? I see Peter is still around - what do you think??

Anyhow, hello everyone!
