As you say it is a nice perspective planetary opposition image. I remember even our local high school putting out a newsletter echoing the hype in 2018 that Mars at opposition was going to look the size of a full moon! That outcome would certainly make planetary imaging much easier
But our tides would be pretty weird.
It is certainly good to grab a win in this year's tough local conditions for anyimaging at 1000mm focal length and over.
