The rovers have been quite a big success and I believe far exceeded their designer's hope and dreams for them.
The only drawback to their continued functioning is the unexpected resources that are still being devoted to the project. Don't get me wrong, I am glad that they are still going and doing good science but I think that the continuation of their misson must be taking manpower and budget money away from other projects...
I wondering if they will keep them operating indefinitely or if they will at some point end the mission to focus on the next project?
