I took a nightscape workshop group out on a field trip last Saturday night, August 31. During the course of the evening, I took this star trail over Canola Hill. Weather was great. My region was north of the high winds, south of the heat wave....not too hot, not too cold, just right.

We missed all this weather. We had a bit of a strong breeze one day, during Monday, and that was it. Local police saw the cars parked by the side of the road but couldn't see the tripods hidden behind the cars and so they stopped while we we shooting just to make sure we were ok.
