M20 Trifid Nebula LRGB and LRGB with Ha accent ( 3rd time lucky final )

It’s not until you get replies from your kids on our family chat group (who are in their mid to late 30’s ) like “hey Dad nice photo and love the pink and purple colours” that you have another look and also reference your image to other folks work and realise “my goodness the colour is a bit off ”.

Hence my 3rd go at it ……,

Here’s my final reprocess in Startools with the following adjustments -

Attribute more DR or influence to outside the region of interest ( ROI ) in the final AutoDev stretch ( some folk have commented on a few occasions over the years that my background is clipped , which it isn’t, as ST will not allow clipping , it’s darkish but not clipped ) So bumped up the background from 15% influence to 40% influence.

Adjusted colour balance in the the main structure of M20 to move the pink to a more reddish pink and the purple to blue. Just had to tweak green slider and blue slider in the colour module. It appears more traditional now.

Bumped up the brightness slightly in the main structure to expose a bit more detail.
