For sale is a very good sample of an older C8. I believe this version was sold as the SP-C8 with a Super Polaris mount. As such it had an interesting sliding dovetail arrangement as the SP was before Vixen adopted what is now their standard dovetail.

Currently (2nd photo) the scope has a long Vixen dovetail that was added by the previous owner at my request but the original sliding mount is included in the sale and can be refitted (3rd, 4th & 5th photos). A Vixen dovetail is attached to allow use of the sliding mechanism.

The optics are good. I've collimated it to the point I'm getting perfect airy disks. The reflection in photo #1 is not a crack in the corrector!
