9th August - More sunspots

9th August.
Lots of sunspots at the moment - possibly heading towards maximum.
There is one big sunspot of interest at the moment being part of AR 3780 in the southern hemisphere - i measured it at 65,000 km across. Most spots lately have been in this hemisphere.
I have included two images - one from 7th August, the other from today 9th August as a comparison. Both single exposures thru a 81 mm WO refractor, Herschel wedge at 540 nm, and Canon 550d camera.
Thanks for viewing.
