There's still a very slim chance slight hearing can be recovered but it won't do it without intervention. Getting in to see those in the know is the problem, ENTs in Sydney have a 6-12 month waiting list, no such entity locally and the one in Orange well, I'm hoping he phones soon since he's likely back from holidays. The longer it's left the less chance of any hearing recovery.
