Supernova 2024ggi

Folks,

Just a quick shot from last night, much thanks to @mental4astro for the heads-up!

There are a triangle of "bright" stars towards the southern end of the galaxy extension, the red/orange one (TYC 7206-0545-1, mag 10.7) at the tip, SAO 202300 below and to the right slightly (mag 10.3), and the fainter mag 12.7 star above and to the right a bit further. The supernova is nestled in there closer to the top two. Quite obvious in relatively short exposures (less than a minute) from the suburbs.
