Thanks Dave
Yeh it has a little more depth and detail , so pleased with the final version
Startools colour module ( RGB Ratio ) tries to maintain correct RGB star colour even when using narrowband filters and has a corrective tool called highlight repair where it blends in neighbouring pixels around the star to eliminate those horrible magenta star rings you see in Hubble palette SHO images. It’s not perfect but pretty good. I’m also experimenting with Canon DPP4 colour tool , just to tidy up some of the larger stars colour too.
This Mono deal is hard work when you don’t get consistent clear skies living on the coastal fringe , so you have to change your mindset from a quick one night snap ( like using a DSLR or cooled OSC ) to a project based acquisition with works in progress over many nights.
The trouble is some objects have moved out of view by the time the clouds clear after many weeks or even months. It’s a struggle
I am really enjoying the quality of data plus greatly reduced noise from the new set up. The 2600MC can never match it for the same number of hours.
Down south it’s mind boggling how clean the Mono data is compared to crappy Sydney skies.

Cheers
Martin
