Time to find a new home for this classic scope


Questar standard 1980s vintage in very good condition .
I wont bore you with raves about the quality of these telescopes but this one certainly lives up to their reputation.


The scope has just had its AC ( southern hemisphere ) motor replaced and includes 24mm and 16mm Questar ( Brandon ) eyepieces , off axis solar filter . close focus diaphragm . tripod legs , case , Questar swivel camera coupling ( T2 ) . Questar books . Televue 1.25" eyepiece adapter .



The Questar eyepiece holder is damaged and does not adjust so that the finder mode switch is of any use , so if you are keen on using the Brandon eyepieces you may want to replace it , I used the included Televue 1.25" holder with TV Plossls and Naglers.



If someone from the Northern Hemisphere is interested I also could swap the motor with a new 220 v Northern Hemisphere version.
