Brian may-more famous for having written "we will rock you" for Queen has written an astronomy book released earlier this week
Quote
May attended Hampton Grammar School (now Hampton School) and the prestigious Imperial College London Physics & Mathematics departments and was part way through a Ph.D. programme at Imperial College (in the physics/infrared astronomy field) when Queen became successful. He never completed his astronomy doctorate. He had written most of his thesis but never submitted it, although his professors claimed it was strong enough to earn him the doctorate.[citation needed] As of 2006, he is working on the updating and completion of his Ph.D.[1] He was a co-author of two scientific research papers: MGI Emission in Night-Sky Spectrum (published in Nature 240) and Investigation of Motion of Zodiacal Dust Particles (published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society 166). He was awarded the honourary degree of Doctor of Science in November 2002 by Hertfordshire University, although it is not typically customary in the United Kingdom for honourary doctors to be called "Doctor". He is the co-author of Bang! – The complete history of the Universe with Patrick Moore and Chris Lintott, which was published on October 23, 2006.
