Simplicity - Back to Basics

Ok a bit of a brag here .. I own a few high end refractors from Astro-Physics, TEC and Takahashi along with a 10" Newtonian that I have yet to use (an impulse buy) maybe need to look at moving it on.

Recently I purchased Fujinon FMT-SX 16x70 Binoculars which I wanted to compare against the Fujinon FMT-SX 10x70 Binoculars I purchased a while back. I really had forgotten how enjoyable a good set of Binoculars can be. The ease and simplicity of just grabbing them and wandering outside along with the wide views. This has reinvigorated visual Astronomy for me. I think maybe the 16X70 offer a sweet spot for viewing with Binoculars compared to the 10X70. Sometimes you just need to get back to basics.

If I am going to stick with Binocular viewing I think maybe I need to invest in a dedicated mount.
