Cetus A and NGC1065

This image shows two adjacent galaxies in the Cetus constellation - NGC1068 (Cetus A or M77) and NGC1065.

Cetus A is a radio, X-ray and neutrino source and contains a supernova remnant discovered in 2018. It is the prototype of the class known as Seyfert galaxies.

The image was compiled from forty 180-second exposures using a Skywatcher Esprit 100mm refractor and a ZWO ASI2600MCPro camera, processed in Pixinsight and Photoshop.
