I see that NGC 247 is getting some attention at the moment with the recent post of David's excellent close up of this galaxy. Mine is a wider field at 1.5 degrees taken with my Tak TSA120 and QSI683 CCD camera. I went a bit crazy with the integration time partly because I could with excellent clear weather and it does make noise management so much easier when processing.
The wide field makes for a good cruise around to hunt out the myriad of background galaxies. Have a look at revision E in the Astrobin post for an annotated version.
