Cheers Steve- yes the IR really does bring out some interesting detail and certainly helps to cut through the poor seeing. I especially liked the detail in the GRS.

Thanks Michael- yeah it’s really low now for us with maximum 45degrees. Unfortunately that means we can only really hope for good views on the very best seeing and right on the meridian. But still well worth the effort!

Thanks Warren- it’s possible I got close to good alignment by pure chance but when I was adjusting collimation with the camera (and IR685 filter) which usually gives a pretty stable diffraction pattern and airy disk to collimate on it was moving all over the place. The only reason I took the shot was cause it was already on the scope so happy to get lucky for for a few min of more stable seeing
