Jupiter, 24th August

Hi all, here's a set of Jupiter images from late Thursday night taken in moderate to good seeing. It shows a fairly quiet region of the planet, a little preceding the Great Red Spot in longitude. Io is in transit. Some decent detail in the methane band, with the dark jet spots on the South Temperate Belt visible, and a few higher latitude details too. Seeing was best for the IR & methane band images, a bit ordinary for RGB.

All taken a few hours before I had some very nice astro news
