When you think about the statistics for folk suffering some form of mental illness it is rather sad...statistics are of little use in getting a real idea of the situation but I have read numbers for both USA and Australia that range from 20 % to 40% have or have had a mental health issue...then think of the rampant substance abuse..from prescribed stuff to alcohol and illegal drugs...billions of dollars tell the story of consumption..go to say Dan Murphy the booze supermarket..there are folk lining up at the cash register with their shopping trolley full of booze..really how good could you rate their ability to think.... add in the people's opiate and one wonders if it is safe to leave the house...well its not..I was near run over in the car park by a lady talking on her phone completly obivious to the world...she nearly crushed me and my walker...no appology just kept talking on the phone and kept driving..
Folk think I am crazy when I say fiction should be banned but surely fiction provides the machinery to ignore the truth...such a world is un imaginable but I bet it would work out better...introduce the notion that if you make a claim you must offer credible evidence in support...we have lived with fiction for so long we just accept it..but it is just lies nothing more than lies...
The damage done by the fantasies out of Hollywood is clear yet we suck it up...guns hot cars disrespect for females, mindless violence, witchcraft, ghosts ...the list is long ...our sad culture is generated from such swill...and folk just dont see it.
I will not watch/read fiction.
It is just BS out of a mind that often has no real life experience ...of course some stuff I see... Lord of the Rings movies cause it was a family outing...but I don't need or want fantasy... heck give me stories that are real about real people...the supply is inexhaustable...why the need to suck up swill is beyond me...
Can't folk find decent entertainment free of lies?
Imagine a world where folk rejected fiction which is no more than lies upon lies.
AND stop folk quoting a fictional character as authority or wisdom...like quoting Sherlock homes...does that not underline the damage done to clear thinking by fiction when folk turn to a fictional character as authority...
Get rid of make believe...no proof it ain't real...Imagine where humans would be if they were bound to deal with only truth.
