All species evolve and split into new species over time.
Maybe this is happening to us, Homo Sapiens Sapiens, right now. Maybe QAnon, flat earthers, crystal healers, or just science deniers in general, are all signs that a new hominid species is evolving. I'll call them "Homo Stupidus", common name, foolish man.
