I also have website administrator access to the account so even if someone did hack me, I can change the password via a different login if required to regain control of the account. Some people register their own domains only to have those permanent email addresses and don't have associated websites.
I use a hotmail account as the public contact point for the webpage, the other for my personal correspondence with friends.
