Sun images from Melbourne 17 July 2023

Finally, for the first time in many months, yesterday we had a virtually cloud free day. But ironically the seeing was average to say the least. We started as early as we could with some close up 540nm images knowing that the seeing really wasn't good enough but persevered anyway, with the inevitable result that they all went to binary heaven. Even more ironically and unexpectedly the seeing actually improved a little after this time which at least enabled us to capture some semi reasonable Ha close ups and full disk as well as a full disk in 393nm. After this time conditions were such that we needed to find better ways to spend our time
