I'm quite liking this mono thing
That said, processing LRGB images is not as straightforward as I'd thought ... but that's what makes it fun ... apparently ... with a G&T in hand
Soooooo as I continue learning the basics of mono imaging ... it's almost OCD-like atm lol ... I decided to image something other than galaxies after stumbling upon NGC6559 while trawling through Astrobin for ideas. It's a beautiful part of the southern skies and is located a little east of the Lagoon Nebula. This is my 1st attempt at processing the data and I'm collecting more L tonight, and some Ha too. This version is a bit rough (eg. my cropping was crap, framing isn't quite right!) but current details are:
EdgeHD 8" with 0.7 R, ASI294MM, Antlia LRGB

L: 26 x 180s, 15 x 300s
R: 30 x 180s
G: 30 x 180s
B: 30 x 180s, 1 x 300s

PS I'm also setting up a NINA system for my SW120ED refractor which hasn't been used since Christmas. It was previously an Ekos/Kstars system (on a RPi4) which runs nicely but I wanted to try a miniPC (Mele 3Q). Should have it operational in the next few weeks wooo. Thanks for the tips John (Oska).
