I am a real beginner in using StarTools, just haven't had much time with it yet or many images to process,
But i have found that after you have done al the wipe module section, I create a star mask, click on the colour module, keep the current mask, then click on sample, click on mask, clear, invert

This is not a very detailed run through, but just a basic run through.
I tend to get good results this way,
It possibly isn't the correct way to do it, but has worked so far for myself,
