SBIG STXL 11002 FW8 AOX & 3" Rotator
Up for sale are two items:


1. An STXL-11002 research grade camera system, and
2. 3” camera rotator – Optec Pyxis 3” Rotator [SOLD].


IMPORTANT – these two items mate together very well, so the person buying the camera will be given the first opportunity to buy both. I’ve always used Takahashi 72mm thread as my preferred connecting thread from camera equipment to the backend of the telescope.


1. The STXL-11002 camera system includes the following items:


· - SBIG STXL11002 Mono Camera body,
· - SBIG FW8-STXL - Self Guide 8 position filter wheel with built in guide camera (that includes its own shutter)
· - SBIG AO-X Adaptive Optics
· - Astrodon 50mm filters – Red, Green, Blue, Luminance
· - Baarder 50mm filters – Ha, OIII, SII, UHC-S / L-BOOSTER Luminance
· - Spare electronic cards for the camera, costing around USD$1,000


People often quote the original price of the equipment, for my own safety [wife would kill me], I’ll just say this entire package was a significant cost. This system has been ideal for longer focal length imaging, providing outstanding performance and solid images that are robust to image processing. I will be happy to impart my calibration steps to get you going.


This system is in very good condition. Upon request, I can provide sample dark frames at -30c, 1200sec long, and one of the last light sub exposures captured in both the original FTS format and a second in FIT format (the FIT file calibrated only).


Price for this system is $5,500 (plus packaging and postage if required).
