Venus & Mars 7/6/23

Iffy conditions with an inconsiderate cloud near the horizon that interrupted me a few times. Venus first at about 20deg, Mars afterwards at 25deg. Haven't had a look at Mars for months so was interested to see how I'd fare- it's tiny now, and was only just able to pick up some albedo features on the screen but very, very turbulent making fine-focus near impossible. IR685 shots of mars clearer and a couple of finer features coming into view now and then.

Best of the shots were from the asi462mc for Venus and the asi178mm (IR) for Mars - approx 5min captures for both. Just for kicks I added some colour to the Mars shot (hey.. you solar guys do it!! )
